It’s Independant’s Day

Back on this side of the Atlantic, another piece of recent research says that small independent hotels are in decline – in the past decade, more than 100 such properties have closed in Cornwall, and Blackpool, Torbay and the Channel Islands have all lost more than 50.

The report suggests that large, internationally-branded hotels are better suited to “the requirements of the 21st Century consumer”.

At Simon Scarborough Associates, we couldn’t disagree more.  Small independent hotels are perfectly capable of meeting the needs of today’s guests – indeed, given the right guidance, they are often better at doing so.

Simon Scarborough Associates offers a wide range of consultative services based on decades of hotel industry experience and success.  Help is at hand!
